DESCRIPTION:En el marco de la colaboración del Centro Sefarad-israel con la Embajada de España en Indonesia\, hemos entrevistado al rabino Yaakov Baruch\, figura emblemática que fundó la sinagoga Shaar HaShamayim (Congregación Sefardí Española y Portuguesa) en Tondano\, Norte de Sulawesi\, así como el Primer Museo del Holocausto en Asia Sudoriental. \nNacido en 1982\, Baruch descubrió su herencia judía materna durante su adolescencia y decidió convertirse al judaísmo\, en una familia compuesta por tradiciones protestante y musulmanas. Es licenciado en Derecho y profesor de Derecho Internacional y Derecho Humanitario en la Universidad de Sam Ratulangi. \nLa entrevista\, realizada por David Benatar\, aborda aspectos clave como los orígenes de su comunidad\, su evolución en un contexto multiétnico y religioso\, los desafíos de practicar el judaísmo en Indonesia —donde solo existe una congregación activa y la religión no está reconocida oficialmente—\, y sus iniciativas pioneras de diálogo interreligioso y educación pública. \n16 de de junio \n18:00 h.
